Josephine Boteilho Robello's Obituary
Josephine Boteilho Robello, a dedicated phlebotomist, talented florist, and loving matriarch, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 83. For 15 years, she brought comfort and care to patients at Kaiser until she retired. Before being a phlebotomist, she worked as a florist and even owned her own flower shop in old town Wailuku. When she wasn’t working or spending time with family, you could either find her in her garden or in her kitchen. Her culinary skills were legendary. With her remarkable palate, she could taste a dish once and recreate it flawlessly. Her meals always brought family and friends together.
Devoted to her faith as a Seventh-Day Adventist, Josephine faithfully served her church and was known for making the communion bread for four decades. In addition to her many talents, she possessed a gift for music.
Josephine will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her son Arnold (Donna Lee-Robello), Daughters, Laurie, Janice Andres (Victor) Grandchildren, Lacy Varner, Michael Andres, and Janelle Dietrich, and three great grandchildren. She is predeceased by husband, Howard Robello, brother, Alvin Boteilho, and grandson, Jared Robello. Her love, and dedication will always be cherished.
The family invites friends to join them in celebrating Josephine’s life at Nakamura Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 am. Service begins at 11 am. Burial to follow at 12:30 pm at Maui Memorial Park.
