Violet K. Helm's Obituary
Violet Katsuyo “Porky” Helm, 93, of Kahului passed away on September 22, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1931 and was a former employee of Sheraton Maui.
Violet was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred “Buster” Helm, her parents, Katsumi and Mitsue “Sally” Nemoto, and her sister, Nancy Aguinaldo.
She is survived by her sons Guy (Mikahala) and Nat (Beverly); grandchildren Chad (Charla), Lisa (Chris), Rusty (Jon), Kandy Lia, Shy, and Chynna; great-grandchildren Noa, Carynn, Hali‘a, Ka‘iwa‘iwa, Ola and Huali; in-laws, and her nieces and nephews.
Deepest appreciation and aloha to her beloved Caretaker Imelda & Salino Cordero, to the loving staff of Hospice Maui (Beverly, Chaplain Shellylyne, Dr. Chad, Kawena, Kristen, Rachel, Robin, Sarah, and Stacy), Kathy Couch, Elsa Espiritu, Father Efren Tomas, Msgr Terrence Watanabe, Father Larry Dennis and Diane of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Nakamura’s Mortuary staff and all our beloved family and friends.
A true “Pa‘ia Girl,” Mom loved to make people laugh, a sweet gift in a world that truly needs more laughter and love.
