Shigeru Nakanishi, 95, of Kahului, Maui, passed away on August 5, 2021 in Hale Makua. He was born on August 20, 1925 in Wailuku, Maui.
He was a mason and heavy equipment operator for Maui Concrete and Aggregates.
He was predeceased in death by his parents Jiro Nakanishi and Kotoku Uyehara, brothers Shigeo (Anna) Nakanishi and Noboru Nakanishi of California, sisters-in-law Betty Nakanishi of Illinois, Terry Nakanishi of Ohio, and brother-in-law Tony Valeriay of South Carolina.
He is survived by his wife Katherine, daughter Sandy (Marc) Ishikawa and sons Scott and Russ (Jonelle) Nakanishi, brothers Toshio Nakanishi of Illinois, Koei Nakanishi of Ohio, Ray (Naomi) Nakanishi of Oahu and sister Lois Valeriay of South Carolina, and sister-in-law Erika Nakanishi of California. Grandchildren JoAnn Santos, Johnathan Santos, Nicole and Karina Nakanishi and 5 great grandchildren.
Private services were held.
