Sherman Charles Dudoit Jr., 69, of Kula, transcended October 25, 2025, at Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku. He spent the last 13 months of his life living in a cottage in Kula that he called “Heaven on Earth”. Before this for 25 years he lived in his beloved cottage sanctuary of Peace and Awakening in Makua, Maui.
Sherman was born July 8, 1956, in Volcano, Hawaii. He was the son of Mr. Sherman C. and Mrs. Caroline Dudoit, Sr. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Caroline, his brother, Bruce A. Dudoit, of Maui, a daughter, Samisty Dudoit of Garberville, CA and his grandson Kayden.
Sherman was a Kahu or “Master of Old Style Lomi Lomi” with many students, local and international, in Australia, the United States, and Sweden. He taught the healing Lomi Lomi massage, meditation, and wisdom teachings of Ramana, the Sage from Arunachala, India, which answers the question: “Who am I?” and leads to self-realization awakening. In 2007, he passed his Kahu teachings and energetics on to his apprentice, Dawn Charlton of Australia. His teachings, Spirit, and work live on forever through her and all of their students. https://www.learnlomilomi.com.au
Two private Ceremonies of a Celebration for his life were held in November 2025. One in Australia and one on November 30th in Maui, Hawaii in his favorite place called “Heaven on Earth.”
