Roulie Mariano Andres Sr.'s Obituary
Roulie Mariano Andres Sr. passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 4, 1957 in Agunit, Marcos, Ilocos Norte to the late Alejo Andres and Josefina Arios Mariano Andres. He worked in housekeeping and landscaping for various hotels throughout West Maui, including Maui Islander, Embassy Suites and then partially retired as a landscaper from Aston Kāʻanapali Shores in April of this year. He remained on staff for two days a week because he enjoyed the work that he did, especially working alongside his co-workers.
He was a skilled gardener and enjoyed taking care of his plants at home. He loved spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his comedic, generous, loving spirit and his love of music and dance.
Services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Maria Lanakila Church. Family viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by public viewing at 5:30 p.m. Mass will be held at 6:30 p.m. His final resting place will be in the Philippines.
He is predeceased by his parents Alejo Andres and Josefina Arios Mariano Andres, and brother Marlin Andres.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Merlita Racoma Andres; children Roulie “JR” Tapuro Andres Jr., Ann-Marie Tapuro Andres, Roulie “Jayrome” Racoma Andres Jr.; grandson Dreyson Kimokea Kealohapauole Andres; brothers Rubie (Elena) Andres, Rodrigo (Betty) Andres, Ben (Ofelia) Andres, Enriqueta (Antonio) Palacio, Danny (Emelyn) Andres; and 24 nieces and nephews, and many grandnieces and grandnephews. He was adored by his entire family and he will be sorely missed
