Robert Akito Yamashita's Obituary
Robert Akito Yamashita of Lower Paia passed away peacefully on April 11, 2019. Robert was born on September 16, 1933 to the late Tsuguo and Isue Yamashita of Haiku. He worked at the Haiku Pineapple Cannery and later at Valley Isle Motors, Ltd. In 1988 he took over his wife's family business, Iwamoto Natto Factory in Lower Paia. Robert is survived by his wife, Patsy, daughter, Robyn and son Daryl (Oklim), sister Bessie Lum of Oahu, Grandchildren Patrice and Ethan Yamashita and numerous nieces and nephews.
