May Coratibo's Obituary
May Coratibo, age 91 passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Hale Makua, Kahului. She was born on May 13, 1934, to Juan and Pacunda Bikiril. She graduated at H.P. Baldwin High School, class of 1952. May married Ramon Coratibo in 1957 at the Holy Family Church in Puunene, Maui, HI. Together they built a life rooted in hard work, faith and devotion to family. She dedicated many years of service to the hospitality industry on Maui. May worked at Maui Surf Hotel, Westin Maui in Kaanapali Resort and the Maui Prince Hotel in Makena Resort, where she retired. She served as a Head Pantry worker, a role in which she took great pride and compassion. Known for her creativity and attention to details, she beautifully displayed fruits and vegetables and was skilled in ice carvings. May was an active member in Christ the King Church, where she especially enjoyed singing. She also found joy in sewing, crochet, reading, cooking and she also enjoyed her gardening. May always cherished her times spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her strong work ethics, creativity, faith and deep love for those around her.
She survived by her sons, Dennis (Lori) Coratibo and Gary Coratibo; her daughters, Darnella Coratibo and Ramona (Michael) Delvecchio; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Service will be held on March 12, 2026 at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku.
