Masanobu "Marshak" Tamayose, 89, of Wailuku, died on Aug. 1, 2011 at Hale Makua Wailuku.Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9 at Wailuku Hongwanji Mission, with a service at 5 p.m. Burial will be on Wed., Aug. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Maui Memorial Park.Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.Mr. Tamayose was born on July 26, 1922 in Sprecklesville, Maui. He was a retired Deputy with the Maui County Fire Department and a member of the 522nd Field Artillery Battalion in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. He is survived by his daughters, Patrice Matsumoto, Penny (Scott) Sherley; brothers, Nobu Tamayose, Yasu Tamayose; sisters, Eleanor Nariyoshi, Nancy Yamashita; grandchildren, Brad (Hannah) Matsumoto, Trent Matsumoto; and 3 great grandchildren.
