Henry Maio Jr's Obituary
Henry Maio Jr., 85, born in Wailuku on September 22nd 1940 passed away peacefully on January 29th 2026. He was a Korean War Veteran, a retired foreman of the Carpenters Union, and a dedicated Hawaiian advocate.
Henry is survived by his wife, Edith Nalani Maio, his 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren: Henry “Butch” Maio III (Lisa, Shay, Kamahiwa, Uakea, Aleia), Marlo Lehua Silva (Darren, Tatiana, Jax, Axel, Ulalia, La’akea, Briana), Miles Leroy Maio (Nainoa, Ka’iewe, Troy, Pono). His siblings, Fannie Huapala Sibayan (Adrian), Claude Allen “Gilly” Maio, Corey Hanaike (Reiko), Fannie Huaaloha Hopfe (Kainoa), and brother-in-law James “Jimmy” Ito.
Service will be held on Saturday, March 28th, 2026 at Maluhia Church in Waiehu. Visitation starts at 10 am and service starts at 11 am.
