Gordon Wenceslaus Leslie Cockett Sr's Obituary
Gordon Wenceslaus Leslie Cockett Sr, 84 of Wailuku, passed away peacefully under the care of Hospice Maui on March 6, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
Gordon was born on July 26, 1934 in Puunene, Maui. He is a retired truck driver from the County of Maui Refuse Department. Gordon also co-owned and managed the family business of Nakoa’s Kalua Pig and Luau Service. He also served in the U.S. Army and worked on Johnson Island.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at St. Anthony Church, Wailuku. Visitation begins at 9:00am with mass at 11:30am. Burial to follow at Mahalani Cemetery, 1270 Piihana Rd, Wailuku.
He is pre-deceased by his loving wife, Winifred Leinaala (Nakoa) Cockett. Survived by a daughter, Ramona Cockett, Sons, Gordon (Shelli) Cockett Jr., Gary (Jacqueline) Cockett, Guy Pomai (Marla) Cockett. 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Brothers, Edmund Cockett and Benjamin Cockett.
A luncheon will be held following the burial at ‘Ohana Arena, Piihana Rd, Wailuku.
