George Pimental's Obituary
George Gordon Rapoza Pimentel, age 87 of Kula, went home to be with the Lord on the night of November 22, 2024, surrounded by family.
George was born on September 17, 1937, raised in Pu’unene, Maui, the son of George and Annie Pimentel and the eldest of 5 children. He is predeceased by his wife Nancy Jane Pimentel and survived by his brother Damien Pimentel, children Todd Pimentel (Denise) and Lynette Aipa, grandchildren Jocelyn, Lauren, Kamaile, Ethan, and Ryan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Those who knew George will remember him as a strong willed and old-fashioned soul who loved to joke and had a huge heart. He loved to spend time with his family, bottom fishing on his boat, shoreline fishing, diving, and hunting. Many may also know him as an onion and pig farmer, for his goats, and as an employee for The Maui News. In his later life, he came to know the Lord and was a member of Kula Catholic Community. We are grateful for every precious moment spent with our new angel. He will remain in our hearts forever.
Services for George will be held at Holy Ghost Church on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Public visitation is from 8:30 - 9:45AM with mass at 10:00AM and burial to follow at Holy Ghost cemetery.
The family would like to thank Hale Makua Kahului for their excellent and compassionate care of George during his time with them.
