Eddie Roy Favors, Jr., age 72, of Lahaina, Hawaii, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at his residence with his wife by his side. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Nakamura Mortuary located at 1218 Lower Main Street, Wailuku, Hawaii 96793. Eddie Favors was the eldest of 13 siblings. He was born on September 17, 1948, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born to Eddie Roy Favors Sr. and Stella (Scott) Favors. Eddie was a licensed real estate sales agent specializing in vacation ownership sales. Eddie married the love of his life, Jacquelyn Angel Favors, at Makena Beach, Hawaii. They were together over 26 years. He is survived by his sons: Gerald Favors (wife Myrah); Kenny Favors (wife Zulekha); Brian Favors (wife Lurie); Marcus Favors; and Evan Favors . He was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Nathan, Isaiah, Avery, Cameron; Kai, Zaydin; Nasir, Nia; Amiyah, Malayshia. He is survived by his brother, Darryl Favors (wife Lisa). Mr. Favors is pre-deceased by his parents, beloved Aunt Essie and Uncle Fat; and brother, Chris Favors. Eddie had a passion for running, playing golf, listening to jazz, watching and playing sports that included his favorite California teams: The Warriors and The 49er’s. He is known around the neighborhood for tending to his lawn and keeping his cars clean. He loved to cook for family and friends, and was a connoisseur of food. Growing up, Eddie was an exceptional athlete and loved baseball. He was an excellent pitcher with a passion for life. Eddie believed in having a positive attitude, and lived by the mantra, “The only thing we can control is our attitude. Attitude is everything!” He felt he was living on top of the world.
