Died 1/9/2026 at age 67 at his home in Pukalani, Maui
Michael Rimm led a beautiful life, partnering in a wonderful marriage, raising two caring sons, both of whom followed Mike into health professions, and practicing medicine around the world.
Sadly, Mike succumbed to a rapidly advancing cancer, passing peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home.
His crowning achievement was his adoring family. He was a beloved and devoted husband, married for 46 years to Dr. Gabrielle Galler-Rimm. Mike was also a treasured, admired, and committed father to sons Adrian and Julain and a loving father-in-law to Brianne Bailey and future daughter-in-law Malia Nee.
With expertise in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, and a distinctive background in family systems, Dr. Rimm was known as a dedicated and insightful clinician who worked tirelessly to help his patients achieve fulfilling lives. He and his wife partnered together in their clinical practice in Makawao, HI.
Mike was an avid surfer and lover of music of all kinds, especially the Grateful Dead. He was a dreamer and lover of life’s adventures and a student of people; He cherished his connections to his many extended family members and friends.
Mike, Dr. Rimm, husband, father, son, brother, family man —you will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Your love lives within us and your legacy endures.
