Desiree Yoshino Miyamoto's Obituary
Desiree (Desi) Yoshino Miyamoto was born in Wailuku, Maui, and moved to Honolulu where she earned her degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Desi was a life long learner, taking classes in math whenever possible, and taught both school-age children as well as tutored adults trying to get their GED. She loved to have fun by singing karaoke and going to the beach. Desi is survived by her husband,
Steven Fujita and her sister, Jerri (Glen) Young and nephew, Alexander Young. She is predeceased in death by her parents, Elsie H. and Mitsutoshi Miyamoto and brother, Ranceford Miyamoto.
Services for Desi will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on July 7, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.; service at 11:00 a.m. and burial to follow on July 21, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at: www.nakamuramortuary.com
