Louis "Pops" Pacheco
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis Louis "Pops" Pacheco, who passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 77.
Dennis was born on August 10, 1948, in Wahiawā, O'ahu, Hawai'i, to Prescilla Mendez Pacheco and Daniel Pacheco. Throughout his life, he embodied hard work, laughter, aloha, and unconditional love for his family and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Prescilla Mendez Pacheco and Daniel Pacheco; his cherished wife, Carole Pacheco; his son, Dennis "Boi" Pacheco Jr.; and his beloved grandson, Chevis
"Kaimana" Pacheco.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Beverly Pacheco, Francine Pacheco, Martin Pacheco (Chelsie), Pua Pacheco, Berle Edayan, Kehaulani Cho, and Momoe Taape. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, who will forever carry his love and legacy in their hearts.
Dennis spent his life wearing many hats. He worked as a truck driver for a delivery company on O'ahu, a Special Education school bus driver, a chef, and a landscaper.
Above all, he was a gifted mechanic who could fix just about anything. His love of working on cars inspired his sons and grandchildren to follow in his footsteps, passing along not only his knowledge but also his passion for the road.
To everyone who knew him, he was simply "Pops." He was the king of the road, the burnout king, and a man who was happiest behind the wheel. You always knew Pops was around when you heard his signature "Au, au, au, au, au!" With a Bud Light in hand, joking around and playfully tugging at his beard, he had an incredible gift fo making people laugh.
Pops had a kind, loving, and generous heart. He treated everyone with respect and kindness, never judging anyone by who they were or where they came from. His infectious humor, welcoming spirit, and genuine compassion made everyone feel like family. His presence filled every room, and his absence will be deeply felt.
Dennis "Pops" Pacheco leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, laughter, hard work, and aloha. He touched countless lives, and the memories he created will live on for generations. Though he has taken his final ride, his spirit will forever travel alongside those who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Keokea Park.
A car run in honor of Pops will begin at 9:00 a.m., departing from Keokea Park. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Pops are warmly invited to join us in celebrating a remarkable man whose legacy will never be forgotten.
