Pimentel, Christine's Obituary
Christine Pimentel, 82, of Maui, passed away leaving behind a legacy of adventure, family devotion, and a lifelong passion for the skies.
Born in upstate New York on July 13, 1943, to Neal and Josephine Hulett, Christine grew up immersed in the world of aviation. Raised on a large family property that featured its own airport, her love for travel was sparked early in life, inspired by her father and sister, who were both well-known local pilots.
Christine attended Ithaca University in New York before embarking on a fulfilling career as a flight attendant. For years, she joyfully traveled the world, exploring countless countries and states. Her wanderlust eventually led her to Maui around 1970, where she decided to lay down permanent roots. It was there that she met her husband, Vernon, married, and beautifully settled into family life. Christine later channeled her extensive knowledge of the globe into a second career as a travel agent, finding great joy in booking unforgettable trips for her clients.
Beyond her professional life, Christine had a deep love for the natural world. She could often be found working in her yard or looking up at the sky, where she loved watching meteor showers and solar eclipses.
Christine was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Neal and Josephine Hulett; her sister, Nancy Hulett; and her stepchildren, Robert (Boise) Pimentel, Natalie Philips, and April Clark.
She is survived by her sister, Kathy Bailey; her son, Neal Pimentel and his wife Lucy; her stepson, Guy Pimentel and his wife Carolyn; and a multitude of grandchildren and a handful of great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
