Oishi, Caroline Tomiko's Obituary
Caroline Tomiko Oishi, born on July 8, 1929, passed away peacefully at home, under the care of Hospice Maui, on May 13, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Caroline was a force of nature, known by all for her vibrant energy, and a great infectious laugh that could light up any room. She found her greatest joys in the quiet moments of completing the morning crossword puzzle, tending to her beautiful garden, and sharing her life stories.
She was a deeply devoted mother, always putting her family first and instilling in them her love of life.
She is survived by her loving children Dale Oishi, Cheryl (Dale) Sato, and Craig (Carol) Oishi; sisters Katherine Worsley and Evelyn Ueoka; her cherished grandsons Scott (Lisa) Sato and Christian Oishi, and great-grandchildren Zoey and Zack Sato.
Predeceased by husband Hiroshi Oishi, son Lawrence Oishi, brothers, Toshio, Takeo, Eichi, Tamotsu, Hiroshi, Shinichi, and Michitaka Endo, and sister Ikuko Sueda.
Funeral service will be held at Kahului Hongwanji Mission on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow.
