Blaine Mitchell Shigeru Asato's Obituary
Blaine Mitchell Shigeru Asato, 38, of Lahaina, Maui passed away on June 28, 2026. He was born on March 11, 1988 to Robert "Bobby" and Ernette Asato. Blaine loved sports the most. He would follow the Lahainaluna Football Team and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved the beach and quality time with family, friends and their children. He loved to play basketball and would drive to Lahaina just to play in the men's league. His passion was cooking and was great at it!
Blaine was preceded by his Grandfathers Howard Kanemitsu and Thomas Asato, Grandmother Charlotte Asato and Uncle Glenn Asato. He is survived by his Parents, Robert “Bobby” and Ernette Asato, Grandmothers Myrtle Kanemitsu and Sandra Kanemitsu, Sisters Courtney and Kalea Asato, Uncle Scott Kanemitsu, Aunties Sara Ann Kanemitsu, Hope (Chris) Buza, Grace (Adam) Poole, and many cousins, aunties and uncles.
A service will be held on Saturday August 15, 2026 at Nakamura Mortuary. Family Viewing will begin at 5pm, Public Viewing at 5:30pm. Service will begin at 6:30pm. The Asato 'Ohana would like to thank everyone for all the love and support during this difficult time.
