Augustine Acob's Obituary
Augustine Garcia Acob, age 75 of Kahului, Maui has passed away on August 13, 2021 at Maui Health. He was born on May 5, 1946 in Bacarra Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Augustine arrived on Maui, Hawaii in 1967 and first worked at Maui Land and Pineapple. He then retired from Hawaii Commercial and Sugar Company (HC&S) as a Weed Control Truck Driver and Maintenance Worker. He took great pride and enjoyed his work along with his co-workers.
Augustine enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching the news, traveling, playtime with his grand-dog Kona, as well as the company and comfort of being with family over BBQ dinners and story-telling. Family was very important to him.
Augustine is survived by his wife, Dominga Lucero Acob; his son, William (Katrina) Acob; sisters, Rosita (Remedios) Visaya and Trinidad (Virgilio) Galapia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Pantaleon and Marcela Acob; siblings, Juana Sagadraca, Concepcion Medrano, Genera Albano, Rosa Viernes, Perry Acob, Antonio Acob, and Jose Acob.
Augustine Acob will be missed by all who knew him and remembered for his generosity, frankness, determination, strong stand and love for his wife and son.

Visitation will be held on September 11, 2021 (Saturday) from 10:30-11:30AM (Family), 11:30-12:30PM (Public), 12:30-1:30PM (Service) at Nakamura’s Mortuary located at 1218 Lower Main Street. Wailuku, HI with burial to follow at 2:00PM at the Garden of Meditation - Maui Memorial Park.
